Engineering, on the owner's side.
Forge Engineering is a licensed mechanical and plumbing engineering practice serving commercial and institutional clients across Oklahoma.
The firm was founded on a simple idea: that a building owner deserves an engineer who works for them, and that the drawings on every project should be defensible by the engineer who sealed them.
Forge Engineering delivers full mechanical, plumbing, and controls design for new construction and renovation, along with focused engineering studies, commissioning, and forensic investigation of existing buildings. Every project is led and sealed by a licensed professional engineer.
Our clients are healthcare systems, universities, and commercial building owners who need engineering they can trust when the building opens, and hold up under scrutiny when it does not. We work in a plain style. Loads are calculated from first principles. Sequences are written to hold. Existing conditions are measured before new work is drawn.
How we practice.
Calculations, not rules of thumb
Every project starts with a load calculation against real hourly weather data. Equipment is selected for the building it is going in, not the building it looks like.
Measured before drawn
Existing conditions are documented before new work is designed. On renovations, this means field measurements. On new construction, this means questioning the assumptions we inherited.
Defensible on a walk-through
If a specification cannot be defended on a Monday morning walk-through, it does not go on our seal. Nothing in a drawing set is there because it was easier than the alternative.
Written for the owner
Reports, sequences, and studies are written for the building owner and facility team, not to impress other engineers. Plain language, direct findings, clear recommendations.
